District 5 has a dynamic Traffic Incident Management program that utilizes a state-of-the-art detection and communication system via our Regional Traffic Management Center and a coordinated response from state and local personnel to clear traffic incidents as safely and quickly as possible, with the goal of reducing the risk of secondary crashes and maintaining the efficiency of our roadway network.
Emergency response efforts are coordinated through quarterly TIM meetings along each of our major corridors.
